The matched Google listing showed 4.7/5 from 398 reviews. Saved customer comments (not independently confirmed): Excellent experience with Chris. He was responsive and found me the perfect rustic barn beam for a fireplace mantel. Ken in the warehouse was also top notch. | I've been dealing with Exotic Woods for over a decade, and after moving out of the area and into Montreal they have continued to ship wood to my shop here. I seriously appreciate their effort and the quality of the wood I get, especially when I can't always be there in person to check it out myself. Thank you to John for working with me for the last several years, and now Andy and Chris who are taking over my account seamlessly. And thanks to everyone else behind the scenes that I don't interact with. Class acts. | Excellent collection of a wide range of hardwood lumber, sheet good and other pieces. For dimensional lumber they sell dressed or rough - full lenth and shorter pieces. Huge variety of domestic and international woods. If you are getting into wood (like me) this was a great time just to visit. I ended up buying some white oak for a project. Pretty good pricing. 100% coming back for future projects. Happy to find a source for hardwood | Really helpful employees and a terrific source of exotic lumber | Super friendly and knowledgeable folks. | Great place they have absolutely everything and more and the prices are decent not cheap but they have great stuff | First time dealing with this business. Fast responding and extremely helpful. I was amazed at the quality of service. I will be a return customer guaranteed. | Great products and staff | Amazing lumber product's | Great place. They have exotic woods from everywhere. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. | This place is a woodworkers heaven. The staff is fantastic and there is so much to choose from. I get all of my materials from them and have been for many years and will for many years to come. | Such a pleasure to deal with Chris. Quickly reply’s to emails and is very accommodating to my requests. Goes the extra mile. The product is top notch and he made sure I was happy with my choice. I do definitely recommend this company. | The staff are very kind, and Joe was very patient and helpful with my request. They were able to do exactly what I needed on short notice, and the quality is excellent. Thank you everyone! | Great selection of wood, friendly staff, and they have a wood shop and will do some basic services for you. Great place. | These guys are cheap. I bought different material for the guitar building for about $600 and they rejected to exchange the small piece for the bridge that had a crack. | Great selection of woods, including exotic species in veneer and solid. Made multiple purchases there, great on exotics, a bit hit or miss on common species like white oak. Last batch of 6/4 I got was half trash due to case hardening and honeycombing mid-board. | Staff was noce, greeted us when we came in, offered us assistance. Store is very clean and well organized. | Andy is a super star and helped me immensely! The selection can't be beat, and that gents are a pleasure to talk to! Thank you for your amazing help and care ❤️ | Exotic Woods Inc. is a fantastic resource if you're planning a custom acoustic build. I’m still in the planning phase and haven't bought my wood yet, but the staff was incredibly helpful in answering my questions and showing me their amazing selection of high-quality exotic woods. It really took away the hesitation of figuring out what to use! | Great selection and helpful staff. | Fantastic wood store. Pet friendly. | Very helpful staff, I found everything I was looking for. | Exotic Woods is an amazing wood shop, with lots of Quality choices in usual, and unusual woods. Staff is very passionate about their wood offerings, How to use them in your project, And how to finish them. Even though our project was not very big in terms of revenue, Chris Marshall guided us along every step of the way, including making us wormy maple disciples, selecting boards, snd showing us an amazing finishing product and how to use it. I lived in Burlington for more than 20 years and it took me moving away and coming back in order to connect with them. You won’t regret choosing exotic woods for your fine woodworking project. | Everyone that works here knows more than you. Super helpful. Lumber is always properly kiln dried. I've never had a problem abd ive been buying here for years. | Looking for wood to build a few guitars, this place was recommended to me. The staff was very helpful, and they have an excellent selection of material catering directly to luthiers. Fantastic! I will definitely be back again! | Yeah this place rules. Super helpful staff and the wood is really exotic. Also I saw a dog there and that’s pretty exotic if you classify dogs as wood in your ontological structure. | Maz from Renova Contracting: We had a rush order and only about 3 days to complete it. They milled the wood at their shop before the long weekend and delivered everything on time. Thanks to Chris and Andy for helping us finish this project, we really appreciate it. | Fantastic place, with great people. AI assessment of retrieved evidence
The research agent places this store at 78/100 based on the retrieved evidence. Medium confidence. This is an AI judgment, not a guarantee of safety or a fraud finding.
The business is a well-established, long-operating entity with a clear, verified physical presence in Burlington, Ontario. Its history and operational scope are documented on its official website.
The business maintains a strong, positive reputation on Google with a 4.7/5 rating from 398 reviews. Customers frequently praise the knowledgeable staff and selection, though isolated complaints regarding return policies are documented.

Use a payment method with buyer protection and keep your order confirmation. Refunds and delivery are subject to the seller’s published conditions summarized in this report.
Scores range from 0 to 100. A working website starts with 10 availability points, not trust points. The agent assesses trust, customer feedback and credibility from retrieved evidence; the remaining 90 points weight these dimensions at 35%, 45% and 20%. An unknown dimension contributes a neutral 50/100 to that weighted calculation, never an automatic penalty. A store with 500+ reviews rated 4.0/5 or better on Google or Trustpilot scores at least 65/100. Otherwise, without enough cited evidence, the overall result is instead 50/100 with low confidence. A recorded unavailable or not-retrievable site scores 0, including not-found responses; access restrictions alone do not prove downtime. Confidence reflects evidence coverage and age, not a probability of safety.
Returns, refunds and practical precautions
The available pages did not establish the website’s refund terms. Return deadlines, refund eligibility and return costs remain unknown.
Recommendation:Use a payment method with buyer protection and keep your order confirmation. Refunds and delivery are subject to the seller’s published conditions summarized in this report.
